Jigs

The brave, apprentice fool decided in the spirit of things to go and learn the dark art of Jigs.

Jigs, basically are either solo or duo dances is the Cotswold Morris tradition.  In their very loneliness they are usually only done by the better dancers as they are also a very competitive part of the tradition.

So I took Old Pete with me for company and it was a brilliant day!

It was run by the famous Knights of King Ina www.koki.org.uk and we learned a great deal, plus there were some mighty fine ales on offer!  We even tried other styles!  Bledington and Field Town being the most, and were relieved to get back to our favorite, Ducklington.

Have a look at some fine Jigs as done by the Knights.
